Living at the limits :

France-Arizona Perspectives on Global Environnemental Challenges

Join us on June 25, 2026, in Paris for Iglobes Symposium, showcasing nearly two decades of France–Arizona collaborations on global environmental change !

Established by CNRS at the University of Arizona in 2008, the International Research Laboratory Iglobes fosters interdisciplinary collaboration between France and the University of Arizona on global environmental change. On June 25, 2026, Iglobes will hold a symposium at ENS-PSL, its partner since 2018, to highlight ongoing research supported by the laboratory.

The symposium will bring together researchers engaged in France-Arizona collaborations to present work across Iglobes’ three core directions: crises, measuring and monitoring, and adaptation and mitigation. Past and current students will also share their experiences working with Iglobes and using Arizona and the western United States as a “living lab” to address a broad range of environmental research questions with major societal implications.

The meeting will be followed by a musical event involving artistic creation from a Sonoran desert experience.
